Kebabs are one of the fastest, easiest, most delicious and aromatic foods with meat that you can make. They usually consist of ground lamb and beef, for more flavor and depth. If you want to use only one meat, it would be better if you used ground lamb in order to keep the authentic taste of kebabs. Lamb kebabs is the perfect solution for a barbecue night, for a party or even for a light meal!

  • 1.5 kg ground lamb
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 200 gr breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp sumac Sunspices
  • 150 ml olive oil
  • Chopped parsley
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika Sunspices
  • 1 tsp cumin Sunspices
  • 1 tsp oregano Sunspices
  • Salt, pepper
  • 12 skewers, soaked in water for 1 minute
  • Pita breads

  1. In a large bowl, we put the ground lamb, the chopped onions, the breadcrumbs, the eggs, the sumac, the oil, the chopped parsley, the smoked paprika, the cumin, the oregano, salt and pepper. We mix very well and we knead for 10-15 minutes to fluff the mixture. We cover the bowel with cling film and we put in the fridge for 45’-1 hour, so that the flavor mingle together.
  2. We preheat the oven to 200C/392F. We divide the mixture into 12 balls. We form each ball around a skewer, forming long kebabs. We arrange them on a baking tray and we put it in the oven. We cook for about 10 minutes on each side, until thoroughly cooked but making sure that they remain juicy. We serve with the pita breads and, if we want, with tzatziki or yogurt.
