Spicy Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce

Chicken wings are one of the tastiest appetizers that everyone likes. The spicy marinade recommended in this recipe makes them even tastier, giving them a richer flavor, while the dipping sauce accompanying them balances their spiciness. Thus, spicy chicken wings are the perfect solution for a party, for a barbecue, for a football night, even for a light dinner!

Ingredients

Hot, Aromatic, Gluten-free

  • 1 – 1.200 kg chicken wings
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper Sunspices
  • 3 tsp sweet paprika Sunspices
  • 1 tsp dried garlic Sunspices
  • 1 tsp dried onion Sunspices
  • Salt
  • Black pepper Sunspices

For the dipping sauce

  • 150 gr blue cheese
  • 300 gr Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Black pepper Sunspices

Method

  1. In a large bowl, we mix all the ingredients except for the chicken wings, in order to make our marinade. We add the wings and, wearing gloves, we mix very well until the wings are well coated. We cover the bowl with cling film and put it in the fridge for 2 hours.
  2. We preheat the oven to 200C/395F. We line two baking sheets with parchment paper. We arrange the chicken wings on the baking sheets. We cook for 25-30 minutes, until they get a nice color and are thoroughly cooked.
  3. While the wings are being cooked, we prepare the dipping sauce. In a bowl, we crumble the blue cheese using a fork. We add the yogurt, the milk and enough pepper. We mix and the dipping sauce is ready. We serve the wings on a plate with the dipping sauce in the middle.
